He is cheeky, queer and THE comedy shooting star from America: MATTEO LANE! The New Yorker is not only a brilliant stand-up comedian, a talented singer and painter, but also a pioneer for the LGBTQ+ community. During his performance at Carlswerk Victoria in Cologne, MATTEO LANE will set off a colorful firework of jokes in American stand-up style.

MATTEO LANE was one of the first homosexual comedians to make it onto the big stages and onto the popular shows in America, which are dominated by heterosexual comedians. In Germany, the US-American with Italian and Mexican roots already has a considerable fan base, including through his own episode in the Netflix stand-up special THE COMEDY LINEUP and through his social media presence. His topics include homosexuality, prejudices and clichés, relationships and everyday situations - MATTEO LANE recognizes the comedy in many things and is not afraid to bring them to the stage. In his performances, he also relentlessly and with a cynical twinkle in his eye deals with the difficulties he himself experiences in his life because of his sexual orientation.

MATTEO LANE speaks five languages fluently and his voice has a range of six octaves. He lived in Italy as an oil painter and opera singer until he returned to the USA to launch his career as a stand-up comedian. And now, on his "BACK TO EUROPE" tour, he is returning without painting - but not entirely without singing - and with plenty of wit to delight fans here with his second career.
