When you hear MAYBERG's speaking voice, the air vibrates. The waves immediately connect ear, heart and brain with the timbre that makes this young artist quite unagitatedly unique. And especially when MAYBERG laughs up, a window opens into his personality: something fundamentally positive radiates back from him.

Which is remarkable, because if you delve into his clever and observant lyrics, there is, after all, plenty of Coming Of Age disruption, confusion, doubt and frustration to be found there. But MAYBERG packs the universal agonies of being in your early 20s into a context that is familiar AND exciting. This talent for inventing new verses for the feeling of youth is extraordinary.

MAYBERG, the newcomer for 2023 with potential: at 22, he is in his prime Gen Z age and has found the perfect intersection between songwriting, cool crooner, modern singer-songwriter and electronic synths & beats. But above all, it's his authentic poetry that qualifies him as an identification figure for the twentysomethings.

And the peer group wants to be close to him: In this still young year, MAYBERG completely sold out his second tour in April and May 2023 - the rush was so enormous that the shows were moved up from venues that were already considerably large for a new artist to even larger ones wherever possible. His talent has also caught the attention of colleagues in the German music scene, the entertainer and rapper ALLIGATOAH gets the young songwriter as a support act for his almost sold-out indoor tour in March 2023.

The enchantingly charismatic musician, who largely produces himself, hits a sensitive nerve with his pop, which orchestrates modern indie anthems with guitar, piano and cool electro: 1.7 million monthly listeners* on Spotify, highest new entry in the German singles charts, over 50 thousand followers* and viral hits on TikTok tell of MAYBERG lending his voice to a youth - and that the audience understands.

On March third, MAYBERG releases his debut album "MINI", fulfilling a long-awaited promise - so far a few singles, demos of songs and writing snippets have been heard. And around this pulsating momentum MAYBERG now puts another ring: for fall 2023 he announces another tour of his own, where his fans can feel album, artist and especially the community up close.

The magic of MAYBERG is the bridge he builds from introverted doubt to exalted exaggeration: "Yeah, then just go out. All the others go out, I lie in bed, is so rare that I speak openly about it," sings MAYBERG in his new single "Hilferuf" and crowns the song with the pointed line: "Three friends I have too, we are the four of missing out".

Every single one of his songs picks up the listener*s ears and lets flickering movies play before the closed eyes. A Wundertwen, a pop phenomenon? Somehow yes, but MAYBERG himself remains modest. He doesn't have to be: the energetic, danceable singer-songwriter pop shines with melancholic, poetic lyrics by one of the best lyricists of this young decade. An artist who stands only for himself.

About MAYBERG:

Growing up in Kassel he swims himself free to Leipzig, where he starts to perform his songs here as there on Open Stages about two years ago. When the pandemic put a spanner in the works of playing live after half a year, he decided to release song after song on his own and was initially inspired by artists like FABER and MILKY CHANCE. TikTok quickly spreads the word and sells out venues on his very first tour. He soon becomes his own brand with trenchant lyrics that describe the emotional world of the mid-twenties with a lot of poetic wordplay. After an indoor support tour for ALLIGATOAH, the release of his debut album "MINI" on 03.03.2023 and another sold-out headliner tour in April, MAYBERG announces new dates for fall 2023.
