Men of North Country (MONC)

Emerged from Tel Aviv's small soul scene, geared with a fresh approach to creating the perfect three-minute nugget. Equipped with a mighty brass section and a firm belief in the power of a great pop song, MONC have been described as "Soul with influences of Mod '79 and Punk '77". Signing with UK based label Acid Jazz Records in 2010, MONC released several singles, an EP and two full-length albums, all of which garnered glowing reviews.

The band's records were met with excitement all over Europe's mod and soul scene and were followed by many successful European tours, including highlights such as the London's O2 Academy Islington, playing the Madness House of Fun weekender and being chosen by the BBC as one of the best live sessions of 2016 after recording a live session for BBC6's Craig Charles show. Touring sadly came to a grinding halt due to COVID, but MONC haven't been discouraged. This past year saw the release of three singles on Acid Jazz subsidiary, Well Suspect Records, all leading up to their third LP - '3', also on Well Suspect Records.
