In the organizer's words:
The world is upside down; reports of wars, crises, and political infighting give the impression that everything is just getting worse. As a result, more and more people are avoiding the news so they don’t have to deal with these stories on top of the stress of everyday life. But how is news produced in this context? And aren’t there ways to give “better news” greater prominence? Let’s talk about it.
The event begins at 5:00 p.m. with a tour of the broadcasting center. Among other things, you’ll visit a radio studio where live broadcasts take place and get a glimpse inside the “buten un binnen” television studio. Afterward, Jan Siegert will take you on a journey into the world of news. He is the head of the news department at Radio Bremen and looks forward to a lively discussion with you.
