Wissen um 11: Warum sind Zellen so klein?
In the organizer's words:
Knowledge at 11: Why Are Cells So Small?
Lecture by Prof. Dr. Sebastian Springer
Cells, Viruses, and Proteins—as part of the “Science Meets Art” exhibition at the House of Science, we’ll explore why these biological units are actually so small. And: Does an elephant have larger cells than a mouse? Or does it have cells of the same size, but more of them? How can cells, viruses, and proteins be made visible? What would happen if a cell were blown up to the size of a room?
Following the lecture, there will be a guided tour of the exhibition with a question-and-answer session.
💡“Wissen um 11,” the science matinee in Bremen, where exciting and current topics from the world of science are presented every Saturday at 11 a.m. in thirty-minute sessions—and occasionally filmed and published on our YouTube channel. Free admission.
