In the organizer's words:
Natalia Doco (Casa Del Arbol /AR) *live*
With her new album "Hacha", Argentinian singer Natalia Doco presents herself as powerful, transformed and liberated. Latin American rhythms such as cumbia, reggaeton and cha-cha-cha fuse with chanson, pop and electronic-experimental influences. The music is raw, danceable and artfully fractured. Inspired by the Hindu goddess Kali, the embodiment of radical transformation, who cuts off evil at the root with her sword and frees us from fear, the album stands for liberation and the severing of old, burdensome patterns. From her early musical stations in Buenos Aires, through spiritual experiences in northern Argentina and Mexico to shamanic and religious influences, Doco sees her albums as personal journeys of initiation.
After "El Buen Gualicho" (2017) and the strongly spiritual "La Sagrada" (2023), which dealt with female spirituality, motherhood and self-empowerment, "Hacha" further radicalizes this path. "Hacha" is a feminist, spiritual and experimental work that moves between anger, liberation and vulnerability, unleashing a strong physical, club-oriented and political energy while translating power and self-discovery into a liberating sound. Doco reckons with the abuse of power, celebrates female strength and addresses doubt and identity. Alongside militant tracks are intimate, melancholic pieces in which she confronts her past and her fractures.
