NORLYZ feat. Malika Alaoui (NORLYZ Music/D) *live*

The electro-acoustic live band combines the warmth and fragility of acoustic instruments with the precision and energy of electronic music: danceable and nuanced at the same time, inspired by techno, global sounds and jazz. The multi-faceted arrangements leave room for improvisation and take the audience on a journey through parallel worlds, mystical places and cinematic sound dimensions.

The backgrounds of the four musicians are just as multifaceted as the music: Paul David Heckhausen is the driving force behind NORLYZ as founder, producer, composer and live musician. As a drummer and pianist, he has a background in rock and jazz music, traveled and drummed for a year in Brazil and finally studied composition and music production in the Netherlands. After a period as a DJ, he finally felt the urge to play live again and combine electronic and acoustic music. So he founded "Schattenspiel", the project from which NORLYZ emerged today with a new line-up and a new sound.

Cellist Gábor Hartyáni comes from Hungary, lived and studied for a time in the Netherlands and has a preference for groove, world music and jazz. He has played with Schattenspiel since 2019. Trumpeter Philipp Püschel and saxophonist Lasse Golz met while studying jazz in Hamburg. The two play together with Paul in the space jazz band ROCKET MEN and regularly with the techno marching band MEUTE. Philipp and Paul know each other from their time together in a big band in Hanover.
