"Once upon a time there was a boy who wanted to sing in the street. In fact, he didn't want to do anything but sing."
As freedom of speech continues to be prevented in many parts of the world, a solo performance on stage today is a loud cry for survival, for freedom, for solidarity, and it publicly presents a great desire to be heard.
In her poetic solo theater piece, İpek Seyalıoğlu overthrows the dictated word after years of activism and brings forth a voice once forced into silence.
"Always praise life. This is the way to sing."
