Odonische Freitagsbühne

The Odonische Freitagsbühne is afree concert series that takes place every Friday from May through September in Odonien’s sculpture park. It offers local and regional musicians—especiallyup-and-coming artists—a valuable opportunity to perform their music for an audience.

Free admission, 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.; donations for the artists are appreciated.

Hertzkammer presents “Newcomer Sounds,” featuring highly talented up-and-coming artists, each bringing their very own “pop sound.” Since we want to introduce you to as many artists as possible, it’ll be a vibrant evening with LIVE MUSIC, cold drinks, and wonderful people. So please come early so that as many artists as possible get a chance to perform. It’s the perfect occasion to discover new music and connect with other members of the Cologne music scene. We can’t wait to see you!

8:00 p.m. Thus Problemis a band from Hamburg that falls somewhere between indie and post-punk, loud and soft sounds, gentle songs, and loud screams. With dark guitar sounds, a mix of serious themes and a fun-punk attitude, experimentation, and improv, this bass/drums/guitar trio can be found anywhere there are still concerts with affordable beer.

9:00 p.m. STRESSfromCologne break down the boundaries between indie and punk, capturing the
pulse of modern urban life. They delve deep into the everyday questions that surround us, without pretending to have all the answers. STRESS—stories of urban unrest, of euphoria and panic, of resistance and change.

7:00 p.m.Steve Loren & The FizzersFromloud to soft, from funky to cloudy—musically, just about anything goes, and you’ll find it all reflected in their songs. Somewhere between alternative rock, funk, soul, and a dash of kitsch, Steve Loren & The Fizzers are simply about music—and everything that goes with it.

8:00 p.m.tiniecreaturesRaw energy, melancholy, and just the right amount of theatricality—Tinie Creatures moves between very soft tones, driving grooves, and danceable beats. With an ease that makes their meticulous songwriting seem almost casual, the musicians create small magical moments, only to let them explode into surprising twists the very next moment.

9:00 p.m. QuburFoundedin Osnabrück in 2018,Qubur isa quartet featuring saxophone, piano/keyboards, bass, and drums. With the exception of the drummer, all band members also play effects, creating a unique band sound.

9:00 p.m. Astral KompaktSince its founding in 2017,thestoner power trio Astral Kompakt has carved out a solid place for itself in instrumental stoner rock. The band draws inspiration from genres such as punk, blues, and metal, creating a unique blend with a powerful and unmistakable sound.

7:00 p.m. krachmangel Heavy-hittingpunk rock ’n’ roll from Cologne, formed in late 2025. An unconditional passion for high-energy rock, featuring a distinctive female vocalist, somewhere between the MC5, The Stooges, early ’80s hardcore, and The Cramps—original songs in German. Up-tempo, fuzz, songs under 3 minutes, screaming, and full throttle. Rebellion in band form: no-nonsense, raw, and gritty!

9:00 p.m.Pipi got Wasted, foundedin the summer of 2024, stands for honest, high-energy music that combines Riot Grrrl and punk with an uncompromising attitude. With new songs and a revamped set, they plan to hit the stage more frequently again in the summer of 2026. With powerful guitars, uncompromising beats, and raw energy, they deliver a sound that captivates, provokes, and leaves no room for stagnation.

7:00 p.m. Das Ende der Liebe—roughlytranslatable as “The End of Love”—uses sounds, which are frequencies, which are us, to guide us. By tuning in, we dream. To walk the journey is to become one with it. Rebirth is a constant. Das Ende Der Liebe dreams the Hofmann dream, reimagined in a high-pitched 2020s version. Beat, sounds, void. Every bar, a new life. The biosphere overflows with electrical impulses, and the birds rejoice. Let us transcend love and celebrate a new dawn.

9:00 p.m.MIC IN THE FACE IS NOT ON PURPOSEisthe electrifying collaboration between Cologne-based drummer Jo Beyer and Dutch electro-pop artist FRÉ. A meeting of energetic acoustic drums, shimmering synths, and fearless vocals. Their sound bridges the gap between the club and the concert hall: adventurous art-pop and electronica pulsing with cinematic energy. Think driving beats, vivid textures, and moments that blur the line between rave and dream sequence. With FRÉ’s magnetic stage presence and Jo’s high-voltage drumming, the duo creates a world you can dive into. Music that moves your body and lights up your mind. Beneath the surface, their work carries a subtle awareness of what it means to use your voice and platform in a noisy world.

7:00 p.m. Since its founding in 2019,MISS MELLOWhas beenjoyfully exploring psychedelic soundscapes. The band has found its home in the musical playgrounds of the ’70s. The Munich-based band’s sound blends krautrock-inspired psych with sprawling jam sessions; clean funk entwines with dirty fuzz, and heavy stoner riffs collide with psychedelic escapades.
