In the organizer's words:
An event to mark the 10th anniversary of the right-wing terrorist attack at the Olympic Shopping Center in Munich
How can you hear memory?
What forms can we find for remembering acts of right-wing violence? What role can art and music play in this? Using the example of our contribution to the interdisciplinary project "DisIgnoranz - Sehen im Rassistischen Nebelfeld" in January 2026 at the NS-Dokumentationszentrum, we show what opportunities we have found to come into contact and work together with relatives and those directly "affected" by the right-wing terrorist attack of July 22, 2016 at the Olympia-Einkaufszentrum in Munich through music. We will share our experiences with the participants and invent further forms of communal remembrance through music.
Part of the workshop will be organized together with the Munich OEZ Erinnern initiative, which is politically committed to remembering the attack together with the relatives, as well as in the fight against right-wing and racist terror.
