Synopsis:In a small one-room apartment, Karsten has created a refuge from the city. But he was naive enough to move in without a formal lease. When the property manager, Wennmacher, decides to have the place renovated, Karsten ends up on the street.Karsten, however, stays calm and hatches a plan: He loads his mattress into the moving truck and turns it into a makeshift home. Sophie and Miray are in the same boat and join Karsten’s nomadic lifestyle. The community seems perfect, and “a few days” soon turn into months. But too much closeness and the looming autumn chill take their toll on the three of them. RAUMTEILER is a mumblecore film, a road trip through a West German metropolis, and an homage to the feeling of stagnation.
