For over 40 years, “Die Toten Hosen” have been shaping the German rock and punk rock scene. Their anthems are the soundtrack of a generation. The five-piece tribute band from Bensheim has made it their mission to celebrate Campino and company with an energy that’s second to none.

Authenticity Meets Passion“OPIUM FÜRS VOLK”is more than just a tribute band. It’s a tribute born of deep conviction and, in some cases, long-standing friendships. The band emerged from the DTH tribute band “Kauf Mich!,” which had been rocking the country since 2012. In September 2023, the current lineup came together—a group that sees itself as a cohesive band (rather than randomly assembling musicians for each concert). Each of the guys has a different connection to Die Toten Hosen’s music, but their passion for the live shows unites them all. The Bensheim-based band’s repertoire is a journey through the band’s history. The Opium Gang focuses on the Toten Hosen’s high-energy live performances and has about 70 songs in their repertoire, which are constantly rotated in the setlist.
