Orchestra Südstadt Tango plays tangos from 100 years ago
The Orchester Südstadt Tango is an "Orchesta NO Tipica", which was founded in spring 2010 under the direction of Cologne bandoneonist and tango musician Stephan Langenberg. The ensemble consists of 15-20 musicians who play instruments such as bandoneon, accordion, violin, double bass, piano, flute, clarinet, saxophone and vocals. Tango Argentino, with all its facets, sub-groupings and widely ramified stylistic offshoots, is the core and model of the musical orientation. The ensemble performs regularly with its concert program or as a live orchestra at dance events and is an experience for every visitor.
