In the organizer's words:

The second organ concert of the “Nuremberg International Organ Summer” features pure French organ music: From Louis-Nicolas Clérambault’s colorful Baroque suite to the meditative depth of Marcel Dupré, all the way to Louis Vierne’s monumental Organ Symphony No. 3 🔥
An evening blending refined musical artistry with orchestral power—featuring Lorenzkantor Michael Riedel at one of the world’s largest organ installations. Don’t miss it!

BIOGRAPHY: Michael Riedel began his musical training as a choirboy with the Windsbach Boys’ Choir and was already enrolled as a student in organ and piano at the Bayreuth College of Church Music while still in school. He studied at the conservatories in Düsseldorf and Cologne and received significant guidance on the organ from Johannes Geffert and Torsten Laux, as well as from Hayo Boerema, Willem Tanke, and Ben van Oosten at the Rotterdam Conservatory. After a professional internship with Thomas Organist Ullrich Böhme and Thomas Cantor Georg Christoph Biller at St. Thomas Church in Leipzig, he worked as a church musician in Düsseldorf-Oberkassel and Bonn-Bad Godesberg. Since 2013, Riedel has served as cantor for the Protestant City Deanery in downtown Frankfurt. As an organist, he has performed in many cities throughout Germany, other European countries, and the United States. Since February 2025, Michael Riedel has been the new Lorenzkantor at St. Lorenz.
