Immerse yourself in an elegant summer night full of waltzes and dance music! We cordially invite you to listen to the enchanting sounds of the Sorbian Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra Bautzen and let yourself be enchanted by a mixture of waltzes, swing and cha-cha-cha.

The majestic waltzes by Johann Strauss, Peter Tchaikovsky and Dmitri Shostakovich will be the focus of the evening, providing the perfect setting for a festive evening of dancing. It's the perfect opportunity to get your elegant evening and ball gowns out of the wardrobe and let yourself be carried away by the music in a festive atmosphere!

A dance school will open our Waltz Summer Night with a dance class. Led by professional dance instructors, you can shake a leg yourself on our stage during a free introductory course.

The Palais Sommer is the big open-air festival in Dresden. It combines music, art, dance, yoga, workshops, literature, gastronomy and much more. Free admission.

In 2026, Palais Sommer will take place from June 20 to July 26 on Dresden's Neumarkt square. Afterwards, the daily yoga program will continue in Alaunpark until 30 August. A total of around 200 events are planned.

Sun loungers and tables can be reserved in advance.
