Hailing from Oslo's vibrant music scene, Sūn Byrd present a fresh interpretation of modern soul, deeply rooted in the pop music of the 60s and 70s. All seven band members around singer Johan Helland contribute songs and musical ideas, which makes the band's energetic sound unmistakable. Their self-titled debut album was directly nominated for the prestigious Spellemannprisen - the Norwegian equivalent of the US Grammy. This summer, Sūn Byrd are on tour for their second album "In Paradiso", inspired by the American and British soul of the 60s and 70s. A tireless horn section, driving bass lines, smooth vocals and undeniable coolness! Sūn Byrd's music is universal and timeless, and there is currently nothing like it on the Norwegian music scene.

The Palais Sommer is the big open-air festival in Dresden. It combines music, art, dance, yoga, workshops, literature, gastronomy and much more. Free admission.

In 2026, Palais Sommer will take place from June 20 to July 26 on Dresden's Neumarkt square. Afterwards, the daily yoga program will continue in Alaunpark until 30 August. A total of around 200 events are planned.
