Das Quartett Coup Coup überrascht mit einer Mischung aus elektronischen und akustischen Texturen, durch die sich energetische Melodien ziehen. Inspiriert von Post Punk, Noise und freier Improvisation entstehen dichte Klangräume mit stetig wechselnden Energiezentren.

Almut Schlichtings Baritonsaxophon erscheint mal als pulsgebendes Epizentrum, mal als sanfte Melodie, oder aber in perkussiven, geräuschbasierten Texturen.

Sofia Borges schafft mit ihrem Spiel sowohl subtile Nuancen als auch komplexe Strukturen von höchster Dichte.

Michele Pedrazzi gestaltet den Raum durch Live-Sampling und experimentelle Klangerzeugung, ergänzt durch analoge Synthesizerklänge, und Daniel Meyer nutzt die Gitarre für Klangkörper und Texturen, aber auch für fließende Melodien und Harmonien.

Postpunk, Klangkunst und Free Jazz verbinden sich in Struktur, Sound und Energie

The quartet Coup Coup surprises with a blend of electronic and acoustic textures, through which energetic melodies weave their way. Inspired by post-punk, noise and free improvisation, they create dense soundscapes with constantly shifting focal points of energy.

Almut Schlichting’s baritone saxophone appears at times as a pulsating epicentre, at others as a gentle melody, or within percussive, noise-based textures.

Sofia Borges’s playing creates both subtle nuances and complex structures of the highest density.

Michele Pedrazzi shapes the soundscape through live sampling and experimental sound generation, complemented by analogue synthesiser sounds, whilst Daniel Meyer uses the guitar to create timbres and textures, as well as flowing melodies and harmonies.

Post-punk, sound art and free jazz converge in structure, sound and energy.
