In the organizer's words:

PESTFEST - what is it anyway?

PESTFEST is a band festival for teenagers and young adults co-organized by students at the Gisela-Gymnasium. Once a year, young bands from Munich perform on stage at the Feierwerk. A few bands from the school also take part each time.
A long time ago, more than 30 years ago, the PESTFEST took place every year in the gym of the Pestalozzi Gymnasium.
In 2014, a small team of dedicated Lozzians started to bring PESTFEST back to life, but this time in the Feierwerk.
Today, pupils from various schools have joined forces to continue to make PESTFEST flourish.

THE ACTS

Brainscha | Pop-Punk, Alternative

Nights that taste of cheap wine and freedom, surviving between head chaos and feelings of happiness. BRAINSCHA makes music for exactly these moments - when everything is too much and just right at the same time. Michi got his nickname BRAINSCHA sometime in elementary school. Since 2022, he and his band have played over 80 shows in Germany and Austria. Sweaty clubs, festivals like "Ab geht die Lutzi!" alongside acts like "Donots" and "Bilderbuch", plus airplay on Rock Antenne and Top FM. Musically somewhere between indie, punk and pop - with lyrics that tell of everything that happens between euphoria and crash. About love, heartbreak, friendship, intoxication and trying to get along. Sometimes loud and angry, sometimes quiet and close - but always real. BRAINSCHA concerts are an energetic emotional chaos where everyone is welcome - no matter what you look like, where you come from or who you love. (Source: Artist)

IQ Zero | Punk-Rock

IQ ZERO are five friends, some of whom have known each other since school days, and you can hear that: well-rehearsed, honest and with a dynamic that ignites immediately.

The "best-known and probably best punk rock band in Bichl" delivers exactly the sound that screams for sweaty mosh pits and sticky hall floors - 90s punk meets melodic alternative rock.
After the first musical attempts (the instruments had to be partly learned in rehearsals), the EP "Substance Not Fit For Human Consumption", the longplayer "Time" and the two singles "Let It Drown" & "Sins" followed, as well as sweaty gigs on tight club and Juz stages. Over time, gigs with bands such as "Bad Cop/Bad Cop", "Mad Caddies", "The Prosecution", "CJ Ramone" and a slot at the Southside Festival 2025 were added. The current album "Toss A Coin" was released under Pauli Punker Records and comes with pure energy and vehemence, which the guys transport to every stage in the country and beyond. (Source: Artist)

Never without Timba | Indie-Pop

NIE OHNE TIMBA - it's not a name, it's a feeling. The smell of sea salt, a pastel blue horizon, the moment when all worries disappear. Behind the alias is Sven Evertz, born in 1999 on the Ammersee and now living in Munich. NIE OHNE TIMBA means joie de vivre - and that's exactly what's in every one of his songs. TIMBA music embraces thoughtfully and calmly, it transforms emotional states - heartache, fluttering stomach, pounding pulse - into almost scenic songs that unfold like little movies.
Honest German pop ballads with electronic embellishments, gentle guitar riffs over technoid synthesizer beds, playfully effective vocals that resonate without imposing themselves. Occasionally reminiscent of the young Cro, but consistently doing his own thing - too fluid and broad for a single genre pigeonhole.
What makes NIE OHNE TIMBA special is that even the saddest, most melancholy songs always have a hopeful outcome. A learning. A sigh of relief. The music expresses what many feel - and still invites you to dance. With "Alleine Sein", "Sommer in Berlin" and "Meersalz", Sven has opened a first strong chapter since 2024. "Meersalz" exemplifies his vision: a cloudless ode to togetherness, minimalist and subdued, with his head somewhere between Tuscany and Ammersee. (Source: artist)

Tortured | grunge, metal, rock, punk

Smashed, electrified, burnt down. TORTURED throw various genres such as grunge and metal together with punk on the rack, chop them up into their individual parts and reassemble them to create an original sound. The five started out about nine months ago with mixed influences from "Black Sabbath", the "Ramones" and "Alice in Chains" and have since created their own sound. With John on bass, Rex on drums and Jona and Tomek on guitars, Julian on vocals invariably sets the mood and hammers the audience's eardrums. (Source: artist)

Vyper | Hardrock

VYPER - Rock'n'Roll is back! The Munich hard rock band VYPER has made it their mission to bring the sound of the 80s back to the stage - powerful, authentic and with their own signature style. With driving guitar riffs, thunderous drums, powerful basslines, electrifying synths and distinctive vocals, the six musicians in their twenties unleash the spirit of "Van Halen", "Whitesnake", "Def Leppard" and "AC/DC" anew. Founded in 2025, VYPER released their debut EP in March 2026 - an energetic harbinger of a new chapter in rock'n'roll. (Source: Artist)
