Preisträgerkonzert - Internationaler Jugendwettbewerb für Gitarre "Andrés Segovia"

When the lights go out in the Aula am Berliner Ring on the evening of June 6, 2026, three days of musical excellence will come to a climax. The prizewinners' concert of the 14th International Youth Competition "Andrés Segovia" is much more than a ceremonial presentation of certificates, it is a showcase for the next generation of guitar soloists.

Behind the young artists lie intensive days of competition. From a field of almost 70 exceptional talents from 19 nations, the top-class jury of experts has selected the best. In this final concert, the winners of the three age groups (U14 | 14 to 16 years | 17 to 19 years) will once again present the works with which they rose to the top of the competition. The program ranges from delicate, introspective sounds to fiery, Spanish virtuosity. For the audience, this is a rare opportunity to experience the stars of tomorrow in a moment in which technical perfection is combined with the pure joy of success.

In addition to the musical enjoyment, the award ceremony forms the heart of the evening. The young virtuosos, some of whom have traveled halfway around the world to Monheim am Rhein for this competition, will be honored for their outstanding achievements. In addition to prize money totaling 9,000 euros, a coveted, handmade master guitar from instrument maker Ernst Dering will also be presented to a special talent this year.
