Teenager Marco thinks he has found his way: He is celebrated at school as an athlete, he has a stable relationship with his girlfriend and a good job is waiting for him in his father's workshop. He is someone everyone likes - and when it comes to protecting his Croatian home village from a flood, he stacks sandbags like everyone else. But then a forgotten friend from the past turns up and awakens feelings that call Marko's carefully constructed self-image into question - and the self-image of the conservative village community along with it.
