INFORMATION ABOUT THE PLAY:
At the Athenian court, power also rules over love: three days to go until the wedding of the ruler Theseus to the Amazon queen Hippolyta, whom he has defeated and conquered in battle. And Hermia, who loves Lysander, is to marry Demetrius, as her father wants. If she does not bow to his will, the law threatens her with death or lifelong loneliness. The young lovers flee into the forest at night, pursued by Demetrius and Helena, who loves him but not her. They end up in the magical world of the royal couple of the fairies - Titania and Oberon - who are themselves fighting a marital quarrel. The offended Oberon wants to take revenge on Titania with the help of a drug and the goblin Puck and at the same time bring order to the young couple's love confusion. A hellishly grotesque trip through the wilderness begins with multiple partner swaps, in which a craftsman transformed into a donkey also plays a role. Who loves whom in the end? Who has power over instincts, love and nature? And what role does the mythical forest play...?
