She is repeatedly described as an exceptional soprano, her dramatically powerful voice singled out. But in addition to her successes on the opera stage, Axelle Fanyo also devotes herself to the Lied genre. At her side: the American pianist Kunal Lahiry.

Three words that characterize her? "Curious, humorous and generous." Her concerts should be as "sensual and rich" as possible. On the day of a concert, she takes it slow. "I feel like all the energy is sucked out of me." But then she opens her channels, allows her own power back in, and takes the stage invigorated. Axelle Fanyo, who grew up in Paris, confesses, "My heart beats for recitals," even if the lure of the opera stage is great.
