The fearless and multi-talented harpist Brandee Younger continually defies genres and other limitations. As a classically trained musician, she moves in the avant-garde tradition of visionary artists such as Dorothy Ashby and Alice Coltrane. Younger's fresh approach to the ancient instrument is consistently articulated in her educational work, concert curation, and as a performer and leader of the Brandee Younger Quartet. Younger recently released the album Force Majeure with her partner Dezron Douglas on the Chicago label International Anthem, followed by her 2021 debut Somewhere Different on the legendary Impulse! label. In 2023, she released her second Impulse! album Brand New Life.
