In the 17th century, a soldier appears in a Protestant village and claims to be the heir to an orphaned estate. Behind the mysterious stranger, however, lies a woman posing as a man. In her quest for social recognition, she marries the daughter of a large landowner as the estate’s lord, but her secret cannot remain hidden forever… This fictional portrait of a woman is based on historical accounts.

We’re presenting films—both big and small, but always fantastic—in cooperation with the Bonn Kinemathek.

Films start at 8:30 p.m., doors open at 7:30 p.m.
Sound is provided via a personal headphone system. Sanitized headphones are available at the entrance. In case of inclement weather, the films will be shown in the Forum of the Bundeskunsthalle.
No outside food or drinks are permitted. The rooftop kiosk has delicious snacks and drinks available for you.
