PICK OF THE DAY

You cannot miss this event.

In the organizer's words:

"Being here—in the middle of a Nazi festival—for a moment, it feels as if we’re unstoppable. It feels as if being queer would just sprout and blossom, as if we’d triumph everywhere, everywhere."

Eireni and Anna, two young women full of a spirit of adventure and idealism, meet in a medium-sized German city. It becomes the summer of their love, but it’s also the summer when people are murdered and disappear. A Senegalese tailor, a shop owner of Turkish descent… “The mafia,” says the police. Eireni and Anna know that can’t be true. So they decide to investigate on their own and infiltrate a far-right summer camp. Not a good idea, as it turns out.

EveLeigh’s *Salty Irina* won the prestigious Austrian Nestroy Prize in 2025. We are proud to be the first German theater to bring it to the stage. But it’s not just a good play—it’s also a very timely one. Because the question of what we can do to combat right-wing extremism is one that preoccupies us and many others.

Post-Performance Discussions
Following the performances on October 2, the playwright will be our guest, and on October 9, we’ll be speaking with Fabian Jungnickel from the youth cultural center forum

Together with our colleagues from EinTanzHaus and zeitraumexit, we want to make it possible for even more people to attend the theater.
