SmashComedy im Hörsaal - Die queerfeministische StandUp Show

Punchlines Against the Patriarchy: Hamburg’s queer-feminist stand-up comedy club SMASH COMEDY celebrates the female and queer comedians of the German stand-up scene. Here, five to eight professionals and newcomers take turns at the mic, hosted by SMASH founder, musician, and stand-up comedian Schwessi from Hamburg.

What makes it special: this stage belongs exclusively to those who are severely underrepresented in a scene dominated by white, straight, cis men. Instead of giving a platform to dick jokes, “my girlfriend” jokes, and racist stereotypes, we want to create visibility for the voices and lived realities that are otherwise merely the targets of these jokes. 

Combating discrimination with maximum fun and the power of diversity! Get inspired, show solidarity, and flex your empathy muscles at SMASH COMEDY! And then let’s laugh so loudly together that patriarchal structures begin to crumble ever so quietly…
