Sound(g)arten 2026 – Nifty5 (Potsdam)

Groove isn’t a matter of genre—and Nifty5 from Potsdam are the perfect example of this. The ensemble, which emerged in 2022 from the Potsdam-based creative collective Brausehaus and consists of Dennis Hempfing, Roman Vigdortchik (both from Liquid Silk), Ole Fischer (Kaskadeur), and Richard Oeckel (Soul Dressing), has developed a unique and sophisticated sound. They’ve moved away from their originally rather hard-edged musical roots to explore new sonic worlds together, blending funk, neo-soul, hip-hop, and jazz. Through complex prog-rock moments, shimmering melodies, and infectious dance beats, they create live music that gets both your head and your feet moving. Nifty’s debut album,*Drȳge*, is set to be released in the summer of 2026—the band will celebrate the release with their Potsdam home crowd at Sound(g)arten.
