Since 2022, the experimental pop-punk band ERLEUCHTUNG UND RUFO has been playing in its full line-up. With a lightness that couldn't be wilder, they enliven Munich's subculture in their very own, enchanting way. Always new, self-tailored outfits and spontaneous surprise songs make every appearance a unique performance and leave even the performers no room for boredom. (Source: Bandinfo)
ESC RILLA is a German-American rapper and producer based in Munich. He has been playing live on stages around Munich since 2019 and played his first festivals in 2022. As founder of the collective "ESCAPE", ESC RILLA also hosts his own two event series, "ESCAPE" and "4 Tha Locals", where local acts and artists* from all over Germany take the stage.
Musically, you can expect a mix of hip hop and trap, energetic beats, including drill elements, and a live show that is more reminiscent of a hardcore punk performance than traditional hip hop. (Source: artist info)
Influenced by post-Elliot Smith bands and songwriters, the Munich-based project HALLWAY carves out its niche somewhere between youthful lightness and teenage angst. The five musicians play with influences like "Arcade Fire" (Millennials will appreciate), "Phoebe Bridgers", "Will Toledo " or "Adrianne Lenker" (we see you, Gen-Z). They process these into a uniquely unique mix of late 00s indie rock, neo-folk and emo - bittersweet to the ears, mostly oppressive to the heart. (Source: band info)
SHĀ MÒ (沙漠) gives us an insight into the school days of the young musicians* from Shanghai, China. During their studies here in Munich, identification with their home country became increasingly difficult, both politically and socially. However, reveling in shared memories from school days brings a new, beautiful and almost mythical connection to the homeland. With unconsciously used elements from Chinese folk music, SHĀ MÒ (沙漠) will present a set full of loud guitars, personal anecdotes and uplifting tension. (Source: band info)
