Guided tour "Architecture and politics: a walk from the Behrensbau to the State Parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia", Sundays from 2 to 3 pm

The Behrensbau, future seat of the House of History of North Rhine-Westphalia, looks back on an eventful past that is closely linked to the history of North Rhine-Westphalia.

As the new headquarters of Mannesmannröhren-Werke AG, the building was designed in 1910 by the important architect Peter Behrens and was ready for occupancy in 1912. Today, the building in the heart of the state capital Düsseldorf, centrally located between the Rhine, the government district and the old town, is considered an icon of administrative architecture.

If you would like to find out more about the architecture of the buildings surrounding the Behrensbau, you can take part in the free guided tour "Architecture and politics: a walk from the Behrensbau to the North Rhine-Westphalia state parliament".

The walk is offered on Sundays at 2 pm. Stops on the guided tour are:

• Behrensbau (starting point of the tour)
• Mannesmann Tower
• KIT/Art in the Tunnel
• State Chancellery/Landeshaus
• Villa Horion(House of Parliamentary History)
• State Parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia

Duration: approx. 60 minutes
