Sprache und Musik: Echt oder Fake?

In “Real or Fake,” students from Heinrich Heine University offer insights into their fields of research. But be warned: Not every presentation is true—some may be completely made up! Can the audience figure out which presentations are “real” and which are “fake”?

Master’s students at Heinrich Heine University, who have spent the past year exploring topics related to music and language, will share amusing, unusual, and sometimes seemingly bizarre stories this evening—all of which are supposedly based on real science. And then the question arises: Which of these stories represent real science, and which ones are creatively invented to pull the audience’s leg? The audience’s critical thinking is put to the test. Using voting cards, the audience must indicate whether what was presented on stage is “real” or “fake.”

Afterward, the students will present additional topics related to music and language on posters in the foyer of the Haus der Universität and invite attendees to join them there for further discussion.
