Sven van Thom - Das schönste Lied der Welt und andere Lügen

The Berlin singer-songwriter Sven van Thom, now based in Hesse, has recorded his most musically diverse and thematically multi-layered record with "Ins Gras", about which Rolling Stone writes: "Smart, funny, touching pop with a love of detail." His songs are both entertaining and socially critical, political and private, unsparing and empathetic. In other words: Sven van Thom puts his finger in the wound and hands over the soothing plaster right afterwards.

The multi-instrumentalist landed a top 10 hit 25 years ago with his former band Sofaplanet, and Die Ärzte invited his Sixties homage band Beatplanet to open for them. For years, van Thom has had a weekly radio column on radioeins (rbb), he also composes film music and wrote the lyrics for the new work by Hamburg musical maestro Martin Lingnau. In the meantime, he has also won the German Children's Song Prize - and has already been a guest at the Mousonturm several times with his live spectacle for families.
