Tag der offenen Tür im Düsseldorfer Marionetten-Theater

On September 19, 2026, the Düsseldorf Marionette Theater is hosting an open house and celebrating a small theater festival: From 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., the puppeteers will present a varied short program featuring excerpts from the current repertoire in the theater auditorium every hour on the hour.
In addition, visitors of all ages can take a look behind the scenes, as there’s plenty to discover on a tour of the workshops, painting studio, rehearsal stage, and the large theater prop room in the theater basement, which houses over 500 marionettes.

(Since seating in the auditorium is limited but experience has shown that turnout is high, free reserved seats for the short performances will be distributed on Saturday, September 19, starting at 11:00 a.m.)
