TANZWORKSHOP FÜR ALLE
In the organizer's words:
Telling Stories with the Body
Our bodies are constantly telling stories—even the smallest gestures can have a big impact. In this workshop, we’ll explore how everyday movements become dance and how dance movements give rise to characters, relationships, and situations.
We’ll play with the abstract and the concrete: we’ll take everyday gestures, transform them, exaggerate them, or push them to the point of absurdity.
The workshop is less about learning set choreographies and more about creative experimentation. Building on the fundamentals of contemporary dance, we’ll playfully approach short scenes, develop characters, and find our own form of expression. And hopefully, along the way, we’ll work up a good sweat.
Instructor: Paula Pankow
Paula trained her hands, feet, and body at institutions including the Iwanson International School in Munich and ArtEZ in the Netherlands, and has been performing on stage as a dancer and choreographer for years. But what truly sets her apart is her very special perspective on dance.
In her work as an artist, dancer, and choreographer, Paula naturally blends dance with theater, creating authentic characters and situations.
