Karoline is barely scraping by in Copenhagen after the First World War. But then she becomes pregnant by a man who will not marry her. During an abortion attempt, she meets the charismatic Dagmar, who promises to have a solution to her problem. It's hard to know what to praise more: the performances of the leading actresses, the old-masterly camerawork of Michał Dymek, the contrasting modern music by Frederikke Hoffmeier or Magnus von Horn's masterful direction - a dark masterpiece.
