A divine inspiration leads two sisters to buy an apartment in the eponymous small Swedish town. They are completely taken aback when the seller bears a striking resemblance to their older sister, who committed suicide 30 years ago. Are they really standing before a relative? A family and true-crime drama unfolds, one whose astonishing twists and turns put any thriller to shame. Fittingly, Maria Fredriksson has playfully woven a few “Twin Peaks” references into her debut film.
