Alone long enough: After numerous solo evenings with his showcase "Sincerely, Thees Uhlmann - Das Beste von Tomte bis heute", Thees Uhlmann returns in summer 2026 to where his songs unfold their full force - on stage with a band.

In January 2026, the musician, label founder and bestselling author was the first artist ever to sell out Hamburg's Elbphilharmonie twice in one day. Two concerts that were more than just evenings with a guitar and stories - they marked the highlight of a year in which Uhlmann was on the road solo: pared-down, direct, approachable.

But anyone who knows Thees Uhlmann knows that his music wants more than just six strings. It wants drums that move forward. Guitars that shimmer and push. Choruses that turn into collective choirs. Now it's time for volume - and for the big instruments.

Known as the singer and guitarist of the indie institution Tomte, Uhlmann has been shaping German-language rock music for decades. His solo albums build on this: anthemic, melancholic, full of pathos - and at the same time infused with self-irony and narrative precision. His lyrics tell of friendship, new beginnings, failure and the defiance to carry on regardless.
