Timcheh is thrilled to announce the return of the Timcheh Music Festival with its second edition: TMF2023! Once again, we're bringing together contemporary Iranian and other international artists, partly living in the diaspora in Europe and beyond. Our curated program features a music workshop, an art exhibition, live concerts, and DJ sets, creating a vibrant experience.
To uphold our community spirit, we've teamed up with artists from our previous edition to shape this year's lineup. These contributors include ArtSaves, Jessica Ekomane, Peter Kirn, and Monibi, all adding to the artistic vision of Timcheh. We're also thrilled that Kambiz Kia, an established player in Tehran's underground scene, co-curates our club night with Monibi.
Friday (01.12.) and Saturday (02.12.) will be packed with 13 musical performances, live concerts and DJ sets, and the festival will wrap up with a club night.
This year we complement the festival with new formats on Thursday (30.11.) with a workshop and a VR exhibition:
Embodied AI workshop (Peter Kirn): Unlock the creative potential of AI in music and art during this workshop. Learn about neural networks, train models with your own data for art and sound, and embody machine learning for expressive interfaces. Discover decentralized, alternative approaches to machine learning and gain insights for understanding its applications.
Find out more and register here, the entry is not included in the Festival Ticket. Entry for 10€ or more on a donation base.
VR Exhibition: Loophole (XOR Space X Timcheh): "Loophole" challenges the dominance of automated, profit-driven art and culture in the digital age. This virtual reality exhibition explores digital art's potential to break free from this closed system, drawing inspiration from diverse cosmologies and knowledge systems. Artists from various backgrounds collaborate to create interactive ecosystems that reimagine digital presence and challenge tech giant hegemony, fostering transformative actions. Join us in this thought-provoking exhibition to explore new frontiers in digital art and culture

We are very pleased to announce the second edition: The Timcheh Music Festival is back! Once again we are bringing together contemporary Iranian and other international artists - some from the diaspora in Europe and beyond - in Cologne. Our program includes a workshop, an art exhibition, live concerts and DJ sets.
To further connect our community, we are working with artists from last year's edition to curate this year's lineup and contribute to Timcheh's artistic vision. We are delighted to have Peter Kirn, Artsaves, Jessica Ekomane and Monibi back with us. And about Kambiz Kia, an established figure in the Tehran underground club scene, who is curating our club night together with Monibi.
On Friday and Saturday we present 13 music performances, live concerts and DJ sets. The festival ends on Saturday with a club night.
This time we are adding new formats to the festival on Thursday; a workshop and a VR exhibition:
Embodied AI Workshop (by Peter Kirn): In this workshop, the creative potential of AI in music and art can be explored. You will learn more about neural networks, train models with your own data for art and sound and use machine learning for various interfaces.
Registration is required for the workshop, admission is not included in the festival ticket. Admission from 10€+ on donation basis.
VR Exhibition: Loophole (presented by XOR Space X Timcheh): 'Loophole' challenges the dominance of automated, profit-driven art and culture in the digital age. This virtual reality exhibition explores the potential of digital art to break out of this closed system, drawing inspiration from different cosmologies and knowledge systems. Artists from diverse backgrounds collaborate to create interactive ecosystems that redefine digital presence to challenge the hegemony of tech giants and promote transformative action. Join us in exploring new frontiers of digital art and culture in this thought-provoking exhibition.
