„Trauer op Kölsch” im HELLERS Brauhaus am 30.10.2023

As part of the Mourning Week 2023, the event "Mourning op Kölsch" will take place in Cologne. On 30.10.2023 we will meet at HELLERS Brauhaus from 19:00 and remember together with Kölsch and music the people we have lost.

It does not matter how long ago the loss occurred or whether it is perhaps still imminent. Everyone who wants to deal with the topic is welcome to "Trauer op Kölsch".

Grief doesn't always have to be serious and heavy, it can also be loud and colorful and so much more. Grief can be as you are and with us it is Kölsch. We want to create a place of exchange where mourners can come together and give each other a little warmth.

Singing together can have an incredibly liberating and strengthening effect, we want to use this power. And what would be more appropriate in a Kölsch brewery than Kölsch music?! Daniel Hoffstadt and Urs Werner will perform some of the most beautiful Kölsch songs for us, celebrating the value of life while singing about the transience of being.

There will also be a panel discussion where mourners will share their own stories with us. They will describe what has helped them along the way, how they manage to keep the memory alive, and what dishes support them. Grief experts Lisa Dukowski (Grieve Yourself Free) and Dr. Nele Stadtbäumer (grievy App) will share what support services are available and what bereaved people can do to take the best care of themselves during the grieving process.

For participation we ask for a small entrance fee of 5 € - in return Kölsch, water and soft drinks are free of charge on site.
