„True Crime Köln“ – live: Der Podcast des Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger auf der Bühne

The podcast series "True Crime Köln" by the Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger has been available online since 2022. Now, for the first time, exciting criminal cases are being presented live on stage. "True Crime Köln" host Helmut Frangenberg, editor in the local editorial department of the Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger and true crime author ("Köln in Trümmern"), reports on investigations, backgrounds and court proceedings.

On stage, former investigator and police detective Helmut Simon will talk about his cases. Simon investigated the Cologne milieu around the Alter Markt for a long time. One of his most prominent cases was the affair surrounding the German army general Günter Kiessling, which became one of the biggest scandals of the German government under Helmut Kohl in 1983. Simon was involved in solving several murder cases.

The podcast series "True Crime Cologne" reports on current and historical criminal cases from Cologne and the surrounding area. A new episode is released every two weeks and can be listened to on all popular streaming providers, on YouTube and on the Köner Stadt-Anzeiger website. The seven-part episode "Attentat am Blumenstand" about the attack on Henriette Reker and the threat to democracy was awarded the Theodor Wolff Prize.
