Und dann und wann ein weißer Elefant
In the organizer's words:
The Cipolla Theater from Bremen, which transforms well-known works of world literature into expressive and poetic puppet theater with live music, will present a new production this year to mark the 100th anniversary of the death of poet Rainer Maria Rilke (December 29, 2026).
The production will feature famous poems such as “The Panther,” “Autumn Day,” and “The Carousel,” as well as lesser-known verses, weaving Rilke’s poetry into a story about guilt and forgiveness: Luisa’s son has been in the hospital since a traffic accident. The motorcyclist involved fled the scene. In a bar, Luisa meets Leo, in whom she finds comfort and forgets her worries for a while. But then one day she discovers a dented motorcycle in Leo’s garage…
