Maxim Storms: NUGGETS

In all his works, Maxim Storms gives voice to characters who attempt or reject the "impossible". NUGGETS is a new stage in this search for philosophical horror.

In Storms' new physical solo, he (de)constructs the individual who asserts himself on speed in today's "we-want-more" society. Maxim does this in his (characteristically) grotesque playing style and (striking and unique) rhythmic language constructions. He creates a tattered universe in which one last soul stubbornly continues to shape existence. Through dilapidated constructions and fatal repairs, the character attempts to achieve an undefined goal.

In his previous solo Brother Blue, Storms created a bleak landscape in which the protagonist loses his tail. In NUGGETS, he goes one step further and radically reworks the remnants of the main character's existence. In all his works, Maxim Storms gives voice to characters who attempt or reject the "impossible". NUGGETS becomes a new stage in his search for philosophical horror.

URBÄNG! the festival for performative arts is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the free trade zone this year. A good reason to invite outstanding international favorite artists and heartfelt pieces to celebrate the power and relevance of the stage and the shared here & now with our audience.
