Vice Versa, an innovative cultural exchange project, aims to connect the artistic communities of Groningen (NL) and Cologne (DE). Led by renowned artist and curator Wim Bosch, this initiative aims to increase visibility and opportunities for artists in both cities.

The collaboration, supported by the Kunstlievend Genootschap Pictura in Groningen, the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and KunstWerk e.V. in Cologne, promises a dynamic platform for artistic expression and international collaboration.

"We are delighted to present Vice Versa, a project that brings together the artistic scenes of Groningen and Cologne," said Wim Bosch, the driving force behind the collaboration. "This exchange not only promotes cultural dialog, but also creates valuable opportunities for growth and collaboration."

The first phase of Vice Versa will begin on April 5, when 11 talented artists from Groningen will present their work at KunstWerk. This exhibition marks the beginning of a rich cultural dialog between the two cities.

In return, Pictura will present the Cologne counterpart in October 2024, with 8 individual positions by artists from Cologne.

"This exchange transcends geographical boundaries; it is about fostering creativity, building connections and celebrating diverse artistic voices," added Bosch.

Vice Versa promises to be a transformative experience for artists and art enthusiasts alike, showcasing the diversity and richness of contemporary art in Groningen and Cologne.
