Sabeth Pérez, based in New York City, is a versatile artist: a composer, arranger and charismatic singer who grew up in Cologne. Her silky voice and crystal-clear timbre lend each piece a special depth.

Her trio's repertoire combines Argentinian prose, Brazilian classics and highlights from the Great American Songbook - always in her unmistakable style.

Her career includes collaborations with the WDR Big Band, the Frankfurt Radio Big Band and the EOS Chamber Orchestra as well as performances with greats such as Billy Childs, John Beasley and Jim McNeely. Her new album, which will be performed by the WDR Big Band in fall 2024, underlines her musical vision.

At this concert, Sabeth Pérez will be accompanied by two exceptional musicians: Ben Tiberio (USA) on bass and Rasmus Sørensen (Denmark) on piano. Sørensen is internationally renowned for his innovative yet accessible sound. After five years in the New York jazz scene, he has been back in Copenhagen since 2023, where he works on numerous projects, including his own trio. His music has taken him to renowned stages such as The Jazz Gallery and Smalls Jazz Club as well as across Europe. Ben Tiberio has made a name for himself as a bassist and composer and is one of the most sought-after voices on the New York jazz scene. He has played alongside greats such as Kenny Barron, Gretchen Parlato and Joel Ross and released his debut album Rare Peace in 2021.

Both musicians bring their outstanding virtuosity and individual sound aesthetics to this concert and make the evening a special experience. Look forward to a musical journey full of emotion, virtuosity and cultural diversity - a celebration of jazz music!
