On the idyllic Greek island of Kalokairi, Sophie is planning her wedding and is desperate to meet her biological father. She secretly invites three men who once had relationships with her mother, Donna. When the men show up, chaos, romantic entanglements, and many emotional moments ensue. Accompanied by famous ABBA songs, family and friends celebrate love, friendship, and life under the sunny Aegean sky.
The film is based on the hit musical *Gold*, featuring the greatest hits of the Swedish pop group ABBA. The plot was developed around their biggest hits, such as “Dancing Queen” and “Mamma Mia.”
