Workshop: Remembering Ecofeminism: eine sensorische Annäherung an einen kontroversen Diskurs

Nadine Karl (artist) and Aenne Lowisch (curator) invite you to a grounding moment of sharing. Through haptic and sensory tools, in this workshop we want to raise with you the question of ritual and ecofeminist moments that could enable us to build a better future. By making a grimoire, we want to reflect on our past, which is inscribed in the ground, and on the future that lies ahead of us in the air.

Together we want to work on a smorgasbord. We want to collect, read, discuss and thread together. Our living grimoire of ecofeminism will not be a classic magic book. It combines political philosophy, which denounces the domination of women and nature, with historical knowledge, a connection to the earth and resistance. Moving away from alienation and towards a devotion to nature, we would like to denounce with you the self-serving definition of happiness as the endless accumulation of material goods and give you an introduction to ecofeminism.

You can expect theoretical literature, collecting fragrances as archival work and the joint production of a new archival. Let us surprise you!

Feel free to bring your favorite essential oils and herbs or even associations in paper form, from stickers to small drawings. However, this is not a must.
