Closing WITTERN
In the organizer's words:
To wrap up this year’s SimultanProjekte at the Simultanhalle in Cologne, we invite you to the closing event of the “wittern” exhibition.
Over the course of three months, artists Mira Siering and Nadine Karl transformed the site into an immersive installation for the exhibition: They intertwine sculptural, landscape, and architectural approaches, developing fictional spaces through a dialogue between their artistic practice, the site and its neighborhood, and changes brought about by the weather.
The Simultanhalle is an art association in Cologne and was founded in 1983 as a project space. The association focuses on promoting contemporary art, which is presented in various formats—such as exhibitions, performances, readings, concerts, film screenings, and workshops—and shapes the Simultanhalle as a place of collaborative learning. The exhibition program is not guided by a single curatorial approach but represents diverse artistic interests and developments that are constantly evolving.
