WortspieGL - Gemeinsam leben - zusammen gestalten Eine Veranstaltung der Omas gegen Rechts Bergisch Gladbach
In the organizer's words:
This year’s “WortspieGL” event, organized by “Grandmas Against the Right” in Bergisch Gladbach, is themed “Living Together—Shaping the Future Together.” The focus is on the vision of a society in which what we have in common takes center stage and diversity is seen as an asset. The agenda is diverse and provides space for discussions that strengthen social cohesion in our society.
A central theme is addressing discrimination: Where do we encounter it in everyday life, and how can we protect ourselves from it? Urban planning and the design of social structures that bridge generations also play a role. Particularly compelling will be the presentation of the hopes for the future expressed by people with refugee backgrounds, who will share their perspectives and hopes.
Another focus is on the topic of climate justice. How can we work together to find solutions that are fair and sustainable?
The event demonstrates that, despite all our differences, people can shape the future together. It also emphasizes the importance of nonviolence and the ability to compromise, especially when working with children.
Practical approaches, such as the work of arbitrators and mediators in the legal field, will be presented. In addition, there will be a moderated presentation of individual ideas, a reading, and a lecture that address these topics and stimulate discussion. The event invites participants to work together to find ways to shape an inclusive and just society.
