WOYZECK

Two actors, all the roles—and a unique interpretation of Georg Büchner’s famous dramatic fragment: Nils Höddinghaus and Julian Dietz will present “Woyzeck” on October 9 and 10 at the cultural venue “die flora.”

With rapid role changes, live music, rap, looped voices, and driving beats, the two artists tell the story of Woyzeck, a simple soldier driven further and further into madness by poverty, humiliation, and social exclusion.

Höddinghaus and Dietz developed this version together and are responsible for the script, direction, acting, and music. Following performances at the Theater Itzehoe and the Mecklenburg State Theater in Schwerin and Parchim, this intense production can now be seen in Gelsenkirchen.
