"Wuthering Heights" - Sturmhöhe

The wealthy Mr. Earnshaw (Martin Clunes) takes the orphan Heathcliff (Owen Cooper) into his family. He grows up on the remote estate of Wuthering Heights and is tolerated but not accepted. He is only able to build up an emotional relationship with Cathy (Charlotte Mellington), the daughter of the house. Years later, when the grown-up Cathy (Margot Robbie) finally decides to marry the wealthy Edgar Linton (Shazad Latif) for social reasons, Heathcliff's (Jacob Elordi) world is shattered. He leaves Wuthering Heights behind - and returns years later, inwardly hardened and driven by a plan of revenge that he pursues with ice-cold consistency over a long period of time: He wants to humiliate and destroy Cathy just as much as he once felt belittled by her and the society she represents.
