PICK OF THE DAY

You cannot miss this event.

In the organizer's words:

zwischen/miete NRW brings contemporary literature into your living room! Or to the kitchen table, the balcony, the basement, or the bathtub: We’re hosting readings in shared apartments in seven cities across North Rhine-Westphalia, bringing in young authors, and chatting in a cozy setting about contemporary stories—and there’ll be drinks, too. You can even move in permanently!

This evening,Jacinda Nandiwill take a seat on our shared apartment sofa, read from her books, and join in a conversation with the students from the “Post-German Literature” seminar—who are organizing and moderating this event—and all of us.
London-born author and journalist Jacinda Nandi is the daughter of a British-Indian father and a passionate communist and feminist from northern England. She has lived and written in Berlin since 2000. She was a member of the legendary Berlin reading group “Die Surfpoeten” and has written for publications including *Exberliner*, *taz*, and *Missy Magazine*; she founded the PoC artists’ collective *Parallelgesellschaft* and is a columnist for the “Familientrio” section of the *Süddeutsche Zeitung*.
Her novel *Single Mom Supper Club*, about four single mothers who are friends, was nominated for the German Book Prize in 2015.

A series of events organized by Literaturhaus Bonn and Tilman Strasser, in collaboration with the Center for Literature, Literaturhaus Köln, Literaturbüro NRW, and Literaturbüro OWL. Supported by the Ministry of Culture and Science of North Rhine-Westphalia. In cooperation with Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf.
